Aimming to portrait the mythological universe of the orixás in their Afro-Brazilian sacred musicality, QUINTETO ABANÃ is based mainly on researches of ethnomusicologists like the illustrious Mário de Andrade, presenting in its repertoire arrangements that mix the sensitivity and purity of lyric singing and the outstanding rhythms. Oxum is the Orixa that represents beauty, wealth and love. Love that unites, simple love that brings us the inner peace of union with the sacred. A especial song that we(me andreh torres and some friends) use on rituals with ayahuaska to bring the felling of Oxum to our sessions.
